Web2 de ago. de 2024 · Jesus was a Nazarite or Nazarene (Mark 16:6), but there is no evidence that he was a Nazirite (Num. 6:1-23). According to Numbers 6:1-23, a Nazarite is an Israelite who lived in a uniquely consecrated way. A “man or a woman” could make “a special vow, the vow of a Nazirite, to separate himself to the Lord” (v. 2). WebYet the vine that is treated with abstinence is also, in a sense, dedicated “to the Lord ” ; similarly, while the vows made by a Nazirite himself were those of abstinence, the vows of another person, e.g., of a parent in committing a child to the Nazirite life, represent dedication (cf. Judg 13:5).
